Conservation Photography

Conservation photography tells powerful stories by capturing images of the natural world under threat, associated cultural issues, and efforts to save it. By bringing these often-overlooked stories into the public eye, conservation photography makes an important impact to further conservation goals. For the Nurture Nature Campaign, that means supporting new photography on harmful wildlife trades.

"I think conservation photography is creating images that will affect change, and ensuring that those images do affect change.

The responsibility doesn't end when you trip the shutter. It actually begins then. Then you have to make sure those images get before the people who need to see them."

- Garth Lenz, Fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP)
