Help Guides for At-Risk Animals

Almost one in five homes keep wild animals in Trinidad and Tobago, and these homes collectively keep over 100,000 wild animals. Unfortunately, by their very nature, these undomesticated animals are very difficult to keep healthy and happy in homes.

For this reason, we partnered with the Trinidad and Tobago Veterinary Association (TTVA), the Veterinary Students Association of Trinidad and Tobago (VSATT), and the Exotics Club at the University of the West Indies School of Veterinary Medicine to produce a series of “help guides” for some of the most commonly kept at-risk wild animals.

Each guide provides important information for a keeper to learn more about their animals, what is needed to provide appropriate care, and what other actions keepers can take to become animal rescuers.
